Murdoch University is a public university in Perth, Western Australia, with campuses also in Singapore and Dubai. It started operations as the state’s second university on 25 July 1973 and accepted its first undergraduate students in 1975.

The university is the founder of the ACICIS (Australian Consortium for ‘In-Country’ Indonesian Studies) Study Indonesia program, a non-profit consortium of Australian universities that was founded in 1994 to conduct semester-long study programs at partner universities in Yogyakarta and Malang in Indonesia, for Australian university students.
In addition, the Theology program at Murdoch was, until its controversial closure in 2021, the most incorporated of any Australian University and included a full complement of staff working on-site. Murdoch University is one of the partners in the Western Australian Pregnancy Cohort (Raine) Study, one of the largest units of pregnancy, childhood, adolescence and early adulthood to be executed anywhere in the world.
The Australian National Phenome Centre (ANPC), led by the university, is a world-leading research institute in metabolic phenotyping, as well as the only facility of its kind in the southern hemisphere. The ANPC is led by Professor Jeremy K. Nicholson, one of the most prominent academics in the areas of metabolomics.

The Crisis Healthcare Management in Scholarship provides tuition fee coverage, and a stipend (tax-free) of $30,000AUD per year, plus extra funding on a case-by-case basis for archival research and fieldwork.
Eligibility for Crisis Healthcare Management in Scholarship
- You need an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 7.0 or above or a TOEFL score of 110 or above (0.5 pt) to be qualified for the scholarship.
- Applicants must have a first-class Honors or Masters’s degree with a thesis component in relevant psychology, public health, medical, or allied health fields to be eligible.
- To be qualified for Crisis Healthcare Management Scholarship, each candidate must have demonstrated well-developed interpersonal skills to communicate both with the interdisciplinary and collegial team, and with public and professional representatives.
- You must also have demonstrated high levels of written and oral communication in English and be able to demonstrate adaptability to rapidly changing communication and technology needs.
- You must also be able to demonstrate an interest in enhancing health outcomes and health opportunities for vulnerable populations, in particular persons with MS.
